After a few themed weeks on the spin, the Football Fives Podcast is opening up the boundaries for another 'anything goes' episode this week. We've even thrown a couple of topical questions in, for once. I know. Mad.

With the European winter break juddering to a close we each recommend a game to watch on the continent this weekend. Which one of Daniel Storey, David Hartrick, Ryan Keaney and Chris Nee pick a match from a league with a 21-point gap at the top of its table? Listen in to find out. (It's Storey.)

We also talk about changing the name of clubs (thanks to Whitehawk for the inspiration), the unmitigated joy of player managers and the clubs we'd move up a division if we had a magic wand. This week's listener question provokes chat of our most ecstatic and most crappy moments in football.

After a couple of false alarms, the Football Fives Podcast is proud to present the #IBWM100 special episode. Regular listeners might know that David Hartrick, Ryan Keaney and Chris Nee are three-quarters of the team behind The 100; it would have been rude not to.

For this week only we are actually a five. Daniel Storey takes on presenting duties as we discuss The 100 and the wider world of youth development, and we're also joined by IBWM head honcho Jeff Livingstone.

Finally, a note: we suffered a near-catastrophic technical failure this week so there's been a lot of work done on whipping the show into shape. With apologies, it might not be perfect. We hope it's still a good way to pass some time.

In a repeat of our very own version of Not Without My Anus, the Football Fives Podcast this week is still not our #IBWM100 special. No, we got distracted by a shiny thing this week, namely the jug-eared marvel that is the Football Association Challenge Cup.

That being the case, the FA Cup is this week's subject as Daniel Storey, David Hartrick, Ryan Keaney and Chris Nee take on five questions over far too long a period of time. The panel discusses its most memorable FA Cup goals and finals as well as the greatest Cup stories ever/never told and the small matter of whether the Cup needs fixing. (Spoiler: it's brilliant.)

The listener question this week comes from Charles Davis, who tweaks our noses and runs away whilst shouting a question about whether the FA Cup winners should be given a UEFA Champions League place. Enjoy.

With apologies for some of the sound quality but no apologies whatsoever for our incessant disregard for our own format, here's the first Football Fives of 2016. To mark the occasion we're doing things a little differently again.

Having made the mistake of handing control to David Hartrick this week, the rest of the panel have been thrown into a tradition they didn't know existed: the annual Football Fives Pub Quiz. Yes, it's a quiz episode. Will Daniel Storey, Ryan Keaney or Chris Nee triumph at the end of five gruelling quizzy rounds, or will Dave be laughing all the way to the bar?

Dave throws career paths, player clues, higher or lower and a few other bits 'n' bobs besides at the rest of the team and only those who listen will find out who wins. And regret listening. We'll be back to abnormal next week.
