Kyle Walker

With both our 100th episode and the beginning of the Premier League season right around the corner - and competitive football having already returned in the Football League, non-league, France and plenty of other places besides - you'd have been forgiven for thinking the Football Fives Podcast would focus on the sport itself.

Nah. This week we're talking transfers, and more specifically five of the biggest transfers of the summer. Chris stood the rest of the panel up to go to a match, so it's left to Daniel Storey, David Hartrick and Ryan Keaney to debate whether the players, the buying clubs or the selling clubs got or will get the best of the deals.

The five moves in the spotlight are Wayne Rooney to Everton, Alex Lacazette to Arsenal, Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United, and Kyle Walker to Manchester City. We also discuss Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, even though it's not necessarily guaranteed to happen. The episode was recorded before Neymar's move was confirmed.
