After a summer of nostalgia and navel-gazing, the Football Fives Podcast begins its second hundred shows by concentrating on the football as the new season begins. It's an Anything Goes episode, sort of, and also a loose season preview, sort of. It's the Football Fives way.

This week it's David Hartrick's turn to be at an actual football match, so Chris Nee takes the host's chair to lasso Daniel Storey and Ryan Keaney and drag them through five questions vaguely related to the start of the new season. We begin by discussing the excitement of a new Premier League year, but we also talk about which other leagues will have our attention.

We pick our top three Premier League transfers, place a fictional bet on some eventuality or other as the season unfolds, and tackle our first listener question of the season: will Wolverhampton Wanderers actually be any good, and will the Wolves model be something we see more of in English football?
